About This Business:
I am the owner of Meritt Allure Skincare. I initially started my natural skincare journey in 2012 when I first “big chopped” my hair and realized that I could use the products created for my hair on my skin. As I started to make products for my skin and hair, I learned through research that chemicals used in many skincare products are harmful. I really got serious about researching ingredients and creating pure, natural skincare products once I became pregnant in 2017, especially ingredients that would help me prevent stretch marks (vain I know, LOL). I used the body butter (now known as ‘Moisture Luxe’) all over my body my entire pregnancy, and it kept me moisturized and stretched mark free! I am passionate about skincare and skin health and started Meritt Allure Skincare with a desire to create pure, moisturizing body care products.
I’ve always been into skincare and deeply moisturizing my skin! Even as a kid growing up on the Southside of Chicago (as many people know, Chicago winters are BRUTAL), I would always mix my lotion with Vaseline so my skin would remain hydrated throughout the day. As I got older, I graduated to mixing my lotion with Shea Butter year-round and that habit stuck until I started making my own products.

We always ask consumers about ways to improve our products or the type of products they would like to see from Meritt Allure Skincare. This is still and will always be a learning journey for Meritt Allure Skincare, and I’m proud to say that we are not too prideful to incorporate changes when needed.
